Recommendation:
The System of evaluation was carried out
in two sessions, this included a subject specific group and
the second was State specific. ENVIS Centre -07 faced the
queries of various experts in both the sessions and obtained
positive criticisms as well as admiration. The Centre’s
progress was quite appreciated by the experts who also provided
us with some good suggestions to augment the work carried
out by the centre.
Following are the recommendations
obtained during the workshop by the ENVIS Centre–07
- Pertaining to NGO directory, the experts recommended
that he centre should try and revamp its content every
year and not every three years. This would allow the users
to get authentic and latest information with regard to
environmental NGOs functioning in India.
- The experts were quite impressed with the task pertaining
to parliamentary report and congratulated the centre on
being able to release its published documents.
- During the workshop it was also revealed that the ENVIS
centre-07 may have to discontinue its activities related
to creation of Media Analysis reports as the ENVIS Centre
of Centre for Media studies is already working in this
particular field.
