WWF-India announces the Ninth Edition of its Directory of Environmental NGOs in India. This is the country’s largest compendium of information on Indian NGOs working in the fields of environment, sustainable development, and nature conservation. This edition carries out nearly 2500 entries with their contacts, histories, missions, and activities. It has been compiled by the ENVIS Centre 07, which operates from WWF-India’s Indira Gandhi Conservation Monitoring Centre (IGCMC). The Directory may be quite useful to voluntary groups, government agencies, reference libraries, researchers, aid agencies, the media, and educational institutions. This is to inform that WWF-India is planning to publish two Reports on Environment in the Indian Parliament: An Analysis of Parliament Questions of both the Houses of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The report analyses the trends and movement of various environment related questions addressed to different Ministries during Parliament Sessions. The analysis contained in the report is based on the statistical and graphical trends and number of questions covered under the categorized subject-list. This report would be of immense importance to voluntary organizations, government agencies, and reference material for libraries, researchers, aid agencies, the media, and educational institutions.
